Flagler Park (2)Flagler Park is located along Flagler Ave and the St Lucie River in Martin County Florida. This park is named after Henry Flagler, founder of Standard Oil Company and the Florida East Coast Railway. The area of Flagler Park was used as the commercial center during the early years of Stuart, FL. Flagler Park was the hub of commerce with freight depots, boat docks, a ferry landing, general store and the railroad all located on the property. Today the only remaining structure is the General Merchandise Store, which is the location of the Stuart Heritage Museum.

Flagler Park is open to the public daily from sunrise to sunset with the lighted areas open until 10:00pm. Flagler Park is a beautiful location to go relax and enjoy time with family and friends. The park includes; benches, free wireless internet hot spots, BBQ grills, bicycle racks, water fountains, a pet station, picnic tables, pavilions with electricity available, playground equipment, a basketball court, restrooms with handicap access, a lighted fishing pier, recycling stations, paved walk ways, and a river boardwalk along the St. Lucie River.
