Borough of Donegal in Westmoreland County PA

Donegal is a small borough located in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania along Route 711, adjacent to the PA Turnpike to the south west of Ligonier. Donegal Borough is a seperate municipality from the nearby Donegal Towhsip and includes only about 7 streets. As of the 2010 US Census the population of Donegal PA was 120 people.

Donegal PA (1)Best known as an exit along the Pennsylvania Turnpike with restaurants, gas stations, and a hotel for travelers, Donegal PA was named after the town and county of Donegal in Ireland.

Although not contained within the Donegal Borough limits several area attractions can also be found at the Donegal exit from the PA Turnpike. Caddie Shak Amusements offers minature golfing and Living Treasures Animal Kingdom provides interactive visits with exotic animals. The Donegal Campground, a family-owned and operated campround established in 1969 is located just south west of Donegal PA.
