CountySpot Directories spent some time this week-end in Franklin County exploring and collecting pictures to add to our Franklin County photos. This time we visited the southern portion of the County, starting in Blue Ridge Summit and traveling the length of Franklin County, mostly following the Buchanan Trail.

Franklin County PA (31)We gathered photos and information along the way from Mercersburg, Greencastle, Waynesboro and more as we traveled through. Now work will begin on adding informational articles for each of the municipalities as well as compiling local businesses and events for this community directory. The photos collected in Mercersburg have been completed and are now added to the site. Watch for more Franklin County photos coming to the site very soon!

DSC 0284Once again the CountySpot team was on the road exploring Pennsylvania over the last several days. This time we even ventured into Maryland, visiting two counties which will soon mark the first of our Maryland County Spots.

Our travels took us on a grand tour of south eastern PA as we left Blair County early Monday morning and traveled across the state to the Philadelphia area. Along the way we collected a ton of photos for our county directory sites and learned more about several PA counties.

Tuesday we left Philadelphia and returned towards Blair County by a more southern route which led us into Maryland before we crossed the Susquehanna river at the Conowingo dam.

We made our first official pass through areas of Delaware County PA today to gather information for the Delaware County Spot! We had alot of ground to cover so we didn't stay in the area for too long, but with all of the historical signifigance of Delaware County more time will soon be needed to explore.

Our travels for this trip were intended to gather some overview photos of some of the boroughs and small towns of Delaware County.

Folcroft Borough just outside of Philadelphia was our first destination in Delaware County. We took photos of the Fulcroft Library, Fire Station, Post Office, streets, homes and shopping centers as we passed through Folcroft PA.

Continuing in Delaware County we then traveled down I-95 along the John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge as we bypassed the county seat of Delaware County, Chester PA, for another day. We decided to travel along route 322 passing through Concordville to route 1 near Painters Crossing. Route 1 led us through the historic Brandywine area and Chadds Ford. There are many historic landmarks in the area around the Brandywine Battlefield that we added to our list of spots to feature in upcoming articles for this Delaware County Spot! You can view all the photos of our trip through Delaware County, as we get them added, by visiting our Delaware County Photo Albums.
